China Electric Equipment Successfully Develops Carbon Ceramic Resistors for 550kV Circuit Breakers
Recently, the application test of 550 kV circuit breakers equipped with carbon ceramic resistors developed by China Xidian Group Xidian Xici, a subsidiary of China Electric Equipment, has passed all test items, marking that the independently developed carbon ceramic resistors meet the performance requirements of users and take a solid step towards the localization of the product. This is of great significance for the safe and controllable operation of China's transmission and distribution equipment industry chain.
In order to improve the performance of carbon ceramic resistive materials, the project team members gathered consensus and made every effort to carry out uninterrupted, multiple rounds of sample trial production, a total of more than 80 rounds of iterative optimization tests, and finally succeeded in solving the problem of homogeneous mixing of the ceramic substrate and carbon materials, and prepared dense ceramic blanks with homogeneous density.
In order to solve the problem of easy oxidation of carbon materials and easy to hinder the sintering of ceramic substrate, the project team coordinated all kinds of resources to carry out a lot of exploration on the optimal sintering process of ceramic billets containing carbon materials, and chose all kinds of sintering protective fillers and different sintering atmospheres, and at the same time, with a variety of sintering processes for the cross-combination of the test, a total of more than 20 kinds of attempts to try sintering process. In order to accurately record the sintering process and investigate the factors affecting the sintering, members of the project team took turns to work in front of the sintering equipment instrumentation 24 hours a day to make detailed records, and ultimately determine the optimal sintering procedure, so that the electrical properties of carbon ceramic resistor sheet have been greatly improved, and the uniformity and stability of the same group of specimens have been greatly improved, and the problem of easy oxidation of carbon materials and easy to impede the sintering of ceramic substrate have been successfully solved.
As a kind of functional ceramics, the various properties of the closing resistor are intertwined with each other, and subject to a high degree of foreign technological blockade, it is difficult to access the relevant technology patents and similar research literature, causing great difficulties to the R & D. The project team paid close attention to all kinds of subtle phenomena during the test.
