Hebei Kuancheng Dashizhu Pumped Storage Power Station approved
On January 2, 2025, the Dashizhu Pumped Storage Power Station in Kuancheng, Hebei Province was approved. The power station is located in Dashizhu Township, Kuancheng Manchu Autonomous County, Chengde City, Hebei Province. The hub project mainly consists of an upper reservoir, a lower reservoir, a water transmission system, an underground factory building, and a ground switch station. The installed capacity of the power station is 1 million kilowatts. After completion, it mainly serves the Beijing Tianjin Tangshan power grid, undertaking tasks such as peak shaving, valley filling, energy storage, frequency regulation, phase modulation, and emergency backup of the power system.
