Xinjiang Wanneng Ingmar Power Plant has been put into operation for power generation
On December 31, 2024, Unit 2 of Xinjiang Wanneng Ingmar Power Plant successfully completed a 168 hour full load trial operation, marking the successful completion of the construction of the 2 × 660MW ultra supercritical coal-fired indirect air-cooled power generation unit project for the first phase of Xinjiang Wanneng Ingmar Power Plant, and officially entering commercial operation.
Previously, Unit 1 of Ingmar Power Plant had successfully completed a 168 hour full load trial operation and turned into commercial operation on November 17, 2024. On the last day of 2024, the two units were put into operation. Subsequently, the "Jiquan Line", also known as the "Energy Silk Road," will be used to convert coal-fired power into electricity, which can deliver nearly 7 billion kilowatt hours of electricity to Anhui and East China each year.
The "Zhundong Wannan ± 1100kV Ultra High Voltage Direct Current Transmission Line Project" of the National West East Power Transmission is the world's highest voltage level, largest transmission capacity, and farthest transmission distance ultra-high voltage direct current transmission project. The 2 × 660MW ultra supercritical coal-fired indirect air-cooled generator set of the first phase of Xinjiang Wanneng Yingma Power Plant is the last supporting thermal power project of the project. As an important thermal power project for Anhui's "Electricity from Xinjiang to Anhui", according to the power transmission and reception agreement signed between Anhui and Xinjiang provinces, Ingmar Power Plant sends nearly 3 billion kilowatt hours of electricity to Anhui every year, which will reduce the province's carbon dioxide emissions by about 2.3 million tons and lower the electricity costs of Anhui enterprise users by more than 30 million yuan.
