Saudi Electricity Company's maximum capacity SVG successfully put into operation
On December 26, 2024, the Sharorah substation reached a historic moment as Nanrui Jibao successfully put ± 300Mvar SVG into operation for Saudi Electricity Company in one go. This project is a key project to solve the voltage stability problem in the southern region of Sharorah, aiming to enhance the transient voltage stability and load margin in the Sharorah area.
This project significantly reduces the voltage regulation pressure of the southern power grid in Saudi Arabia, improves the flexibility and response speed of the power supply network, and effectively improves the low reliability and occasional large-scale power outages in the region. During the upcoming summer electricity peak, this project will greatly enhance the overall stability of the system and provide more reliable power security for the local area. Nanrui Jibao provided a complete set of equipment for the project, successfully solving the technical problem of difficult synchronization of response indicators under multi-dimensional working conditions through innovative parameter damping control technology and nonlinear regulation technology, fully meeting the requirements of overseas power grids for high performance and high reliability.
