National Energy Administration holds on-site meeting to promote high-quality development of charging infrastructure for new energy vehicles
August 29, the National Energy Board held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, to promote the high-quality development of new energy vehicle charging infrastructure on-site meeting, research and study of local advanced experience, in-depth analysis of the current situation and tasks, research and deployment of the next step. National Energy Board party group members, deputy director Yu Bing participated in the research and spoke at the forum.
The meeting pointed out that after more than ten years of development, China's charging infrastructure from the "13th Five-Year Plan" at the beginning of hundreds of thousands of units to nearly 7 million units, an increase of more than 60 times, has formed the world's largest number, the widest range of services, the most complete types of charging infrastructure system. As of the end of July 2023, the number of charging facilities in China reached 6.928 million units, an increase of 74.1% year-on-year. From January to July this year, the charging volume of new energy vehicles in China reached 44.14 billion kilowatt hours, up 99.6% year-on-year, and has exceeded the charging power volume of last year.
Yu Bing said, build high quality charging infrastructure system is the implementation of the CPC Central Committee and State Council to accelerate the deployment of green low-carbon development decision-making important initiatives, is to promote the high-quality development of new energy automobile industry, is to expand domestic demand to promote the consumption of a powerful hand, but also an important element of the construction of a new type of power system. Focusing on the future trend of rapid growth of new energy vehicles and the severe challenges facing the current charging facilities construction, we should fully grasp the profound connotation of building a high-quality charging infrastructure system, build a balanced and perfect charging network, establish a high-quality and reliable service guarantee, build a standardized and powerful support system, create a healthy and orderly industrial ecology, and promote the research and development of intelligent and advanced technology.
The next step, the National Energy Board will thoroughly implement the Party Central Committee and State Council on the construction of high-quality charging infrastructure system deployment, in accordance with the "General Office of the State Council on the further construction of high-quality charging infrastructure system of the guiding opinions," the relevant requirements, to further increase the supply of policies, strengthen the integrated planning and layout, and promote the standardization of the revised and technological research and development, and to promote the construction of a wide range of charging infrastructure system of high quality, the scale of the appropriate, reasonable in structure, and perfect in function.
Participants visited the Meilin Village parking lot light storage charging scene, investigated the Ningwei Zhenning parking lot charging and switching service station, visited the Zhejiang Province new energy vehicle joint shared service center, observation and learning of the countryside, towns and other charging and switching application scenes and service guarantee capacity building. Relevant ministries and commissions, provincial charging facilities authorities and relevant associations and enterprises participated in this on-site meeting. The National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Natural Resources, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the Ministry of Transportation, the General Administration of Market Supervision, the General Administration of Financial Supervision, the State Administration of Finance, the Bureau of Fire and Rescue and other relevant responsible comrades introduced the charging facilities work to carry out the situation and the next step of the work to be considered, and some of the local competent departments, industry associations, business representatives exchanged speeches around the work experience.
